This workshop welcomes hand-balancers who are interested by the encounter between dance and the art of hand-balancing. Combining these two disciplines into a hybrid approach we will experiment different concepts, principles and movement techniques with the objective to enrich our vocabulary and explore new choreographic languages.
Each day of the workshop will be divided into 3 blocs of approximately 1h30:
1. Dance and movement concepts
2. Hand-balancing and choreographic vocabulary
3. Exploration and creation of new choreographic languages
Floor panels with embedded anchors together with a set of short, medium and tall hand-balancing canes will be made available to each participant and serve as playground for our exploration.
During the workshop we will have the opportunity to improvise, learn short choreographic sequences, create and share some of our own and get to expand our capacity and pleasure to dialogue with gravity.
Admission criteria :
- Be between 18 and 34 years of age
- Being a professional artist
