The Russian organization hosted the\ncollective&#8217;s signature shows &#8211; <em>Traces <\/em>in\n2013 and <em>Cuisine &amp; Confessions<\/em> in\n2015 &#8211; before entrusting the company with the staging of <em>The Circus Princess<\/em>, a contemporary version of the 1920\u2019s cult\noperetta. The show has since been presented more than 270 times, its most\nrecent run having played from November 2 to December 8, 2019. Further\nperformances are planned for several more years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alongside signature shows still being presented in\nMoscow (<em>Passengers <\/em>in January 2019),\na new project is being launched. The new show, a musical, will be an original\nwork directed by The 7 Fingers co-artistic director, S\u00e9bastien Soldevila.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;It is the story of a young girl who suddenly\nfinds herself propelled on stage following a reality show. The aspiring\nperformer is ready to fly too close to the sun, willing to be a star at any\ncost,\u201d explains Sebastian. &#8220;I am fortunate to be surrounded by an\nextraordinary team who know me by heart,&#8221; he adds. The artistic team will\ninclude several Montrealers, most notably composer Maxim Lepage, with whom\nS\u00e9bastien collaborated on <em>The Last\nChapter<\/em> presented in Sharjah earlier this year, choreographer Genevi\u00e8ve\nDorion-Coupal (<em>The Circus Princess, The\nLast Chapter<\/em>), and lighting designer \u00c9ric Champoux (<em>Cuisine &amp; Confessions, Passengers, The Last Chapter,<\/em> <em>The Circus Princess<\/em>). As with <em>The Circus Princess<\/em>, the poster for the\nnew production will be designed by the Montreal firm Compagnie et Cie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An initial two-week creative workshop was held in\nSeptember in the Studios of The 7 Fingers. The remaining production rehearsals\nwill take place this fall with Russian artists in Moscow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The show will be part of the Muscovite theatre&#8217;s\nrepertoire and will be presented approximately 80 times a year for a minimum\nduration of three years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cFor The 7 Fingers, this project reaffirms a long-term\nrelationship with a leading partner, the Moscow Musical Theater, and is a clear\nstep forward in building loyalty among Muscovite audiences,\u201d said Nassib El-Husseini,\nexecutive director of The 7 Fingers. &#8220;I am confident that this project\nwill reach Montreal audiences in the future.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>About The 7 Fingers<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 7 Fingers&nbsp;is an artistic collective\nunlike any other.
