<\/b>Montr\u00e9al, March 26, 2018 \u25cc <\/b>Les 7 DOIGTS DE LA MAIN <\/b><\/span>are working hard at creating a new show, SisterS, <\/i><\/b><\/span>which will have its world premiere at the upcoming MONTR\u00c9AL COMPL\u00c8TEMENT CiRQUE<\/b><\/span><\/a>. <\/i><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

In keeping with other LES 7 DOIGTS <\/b><\/span>productions, this new story told as a fairy tale will bring the audience into an experiential and human journey, exploring the beauty and complexity of the passionate relationship that undoubtedly connects two sisters. Created and performed by Ayin <\/b>and Miriam de Sela<\/b>, directed by LES 7 Doigts\u2019s <\/b><\/span>Gypsy Snider<\/b><\/a>, SisterS<\/i><\/b><\/span>, takes us into a world where the scenery is made of sounds, odours and images, through a skilfully absurd humorous tale. As with any good fairy tale, SisterS <\/b><\/span>also has its prince, performed by William Underwood<\/b>, who has been seen in several Les 7 Doigts productions.<\/p>\n

Sisters Ayin <\/b>and Miriam de Sela <\/b>discovered the circus when they met Gypsy Snider <\/b>in San Francisco in the early 80s. After training together for a long period, the three nomadic artists and friends parted ways. The de Sela sisters attended the National Circus School before taking part in various projects worldwide. Together again, the three of them have created a show that combines their passions: circus, dance, theatre, clown, music and… perfumes.<\/p>\n

SisterS <\/i><\/b><\/span>is magnified by the lasting music of their lost sister, Lhasa de Sela<\/b>.<\/a> Her meaningful music is given its own role, and the production\u2019s original soundtrack banks on an amazing combination of her work and the influence of artists with whom she loved to collaborate, including harpist Sarah Pag\u00e9 <\/b><\/a>(Barr Brothers<\/a>) who will be on the Th\u00e9\u00e2tre Outremont stage.<\/p>\n

Surprises, new features and strong emotions await festival-goers for this 9th <\/span>MONTR\u00c9AL COMPL\u00c8TEMENT CiRQUE, <\/b><\/span>which will take place July 5 to 15. All the details on the indoor programming will be unveiled in May.<\/p>\n

 <\/em><\/strong>Dans la lign\u00e9e des productions des 7 DOIGTS<\/strong>, cette nouvelle histoire, \u00e0 la mani\u00e8re d\u2019un conte de f\u00e9es,  transportera le public dans un voyage exp\u00e9rientiel et humain, explorant toute la beaut\u00e9 et la complexit\u00e9 de la relation passionnelle qui lie inexorablement deux s\u0153urs. Con\u00e7u et interpr\u00e9t\u00e9 par Ayin <\/strong>et Miriam de Sela<\/strong><\/a>, mis en sc\u00e8ne par Gypsy Snider <\/strong>des 7 DOIGTS<\/strong>, SisterS<\/em><\/strong>, nous plonge dans un monde o\u00f9 le paysage est fait de sons, d\u2019odeurs et d\u2019images, au fil d\u2019un conte \u00e0 l\u2019humour subtilement absurde. Que serait un conte de f\u00e9es sans prince ? Celui-ci sera interpr\u00e9t\u00e9 par William Underwood<\/strong> que l\u2019on a vu dans plusieurs spectacles des 7 Doigts.<\/p>\n

Les s\u0153urs Ayin<\/strong> et Miriam de Sela<\/strong> ont d\u00e9couvert le cirque lorsqu\u2019elles ont rencontr\u00e9 Gypsy Snider<\/strong> \u00e0 San Francisco au d\u00e9but des ann\u00e9es 80. Apr\u00e8s s\u2019\u00eatre longtemps entra\u00een\u00e9es ensemble, les trois amies ont \u00e9t\u00e9 s\u00e9par\u00e9es par leurs vies d\u2019artistes nomades. Les soeurs de Sela ont notamment fr\u00e9quent\u00e9 l\u2019\u00c9cole nationale de cirque de Montr\u00e9al<\/a> (\u00c9NC) avant de participer \u00e0 divers projets \u00e0 travers le monde.  Aujourd\u2019hui \u00e0 nouveau r\u00e9unies, elles ont cr\u00e9\u00e9 en trio un spectacle qui conjugue leurs passions : cirque, danse, th\u00e9\u00e2tre, clown, musique et… parfums.<\/p>\n

SisterS<\/em><\/strong> est magnifi\u00e9 par l\u2019empreinte musicale de leur s\u0153ur disparue, Lhasa de Sela<\/strong><\/a>. Sa musique, impr\u00e9gn\u00e9e de sens, est \u00e9lev\u00e9e ici au rang de personnage et la bande originale du spectacle d\u00e9ploie une stup\u00e9fiante combinaison du travail de Lhasa et de l\u2019influence d\u2019artistes avec qui elle aimait travailler, dont la harpiste Sarah Pag\u00e9 <\/strong><\/a>(Barr Brothers<\/a>) que l\u2019on retrouvera, sur la sc\u00e8ne du Th\u00e9\u00e2tre Outremont.<\/p>\n

La 9e<\/sup> \u00e9dition de MONTR\u00c9AL COMPL\u00c8TEMENT CiRQUE<\/strong> se tiendra du 5 au 15 juillet prochain. Une \u00e9dition pleine de surprises, de nouveaut\u00e9s et d\u2019\u00e9motions fortes attend les festivaliers.
