Each of the nominees had a powerful impact in 2015, reflecting the cultural vibrancy of Montreal. After reviewing the year\u2019s artistic events, the Conseil singled out nine organizations for their outstanding achievements.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Grand Prix du Conseil des arts de Montr\u00e9al expresses the pride and appreciation we feel for Montreal artists and organizations,\u201d declared Nathalie Maill\u00e9, the Conseil\u2019s Executive Director. \u201cThese artists forge our identity; they are like Montreal\u2019s ADN. The Conseil is delighted to celebrate their achievements.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>The following organizations were nominated: <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/suivi.lnk01.com\/c\/443\/be1cd535afec049bc2fbb998fea0e2fa1e461afef7f2bbfe9b933f9d92732728\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Centre des auteurs dramatiques [CEAD]<\/a> for the leading role it has played in the birth of Quebec theatre, supporting the creative vitality of its dramatic arts, its international visibility and openness to diverse creations.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/suivi.lnk01.com\/c\/443\/be1cd535afec049bc2fbb998fea0e2fa8676f7c6be3908aeb59c183910b57c3a\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Festival interculturel du conte du Qu\u00e9bec<\/a> for its ability to reinvent itself over the course of its thirteen editions with an intercultural program and productions appealing to all generations.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/suivi.lnk01.com\/c\/443\/be1cd535afec049bc2fbb998fea0e2fac1278e81b784db3bb59c183910b57c3a\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Les Films du 3 Mars<\/a> for the unique nature of its mandate, for its backing of each title in its catalogue, and for its flair for unearthing important works from artists of all stripes: independent, well-known, emerging or culturally diverse.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/suivi.lnk01.com\/c\/443\/be1cd535afec049bc2fbb998fea0e2fa92cd9966062528903d36765b5b371167\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Studio XX<\/a>, the only media resources centre for women in Canada, for its support of alternative practices stemming from cultural minorities.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/suivi.lnk01.com\/c\/443\/be1cd535afec049bc2fbb998fea0e2fa0dec66bd220a81cf9b933f9d92732728\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mus\u00e9e d\u2019art contemporain de Montr\u00e9al<\/a> for David Altmejd\u2019s exhibition\u00a0<em>Flux<\/em>, whose dazzling, vertiginous world attracted record numbers in 2015.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/suivi.lnk01.com\/c\/443\/be1cd535afec049bc2fbb998fea0e2fae66a7666f73e42f89012a002ca135532\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Les 7 doigts de la main <\/a>for\u00a0<em>Triptyque<\/em>, a magnificent exploration combining circus and dance, and for its prestigious\u00a0<em>Drama Desk Award <\/em>for\u00a0<em>Queen of the Night<\/em>, performed at the Diamond Horseshoe in New York.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/suivi.lnk01.com\/c\/443\/be1cd535afec049bc2fbb998fea0e2fa33c09bb4d221004c9b933f9d92732728\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Louise B\u00e9dard Danse<\/a> for the contributions its director has made to the city\u2019s artistic landscape, exemplified by the\u00a0<em>S\u00e9rie Solos <\/em>cycle, and for the restaging of\u00a0<em>Cartes postales de chim\u00e8re<\/em>, a major work featuring two dancers from the new generation.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/suivi.lnk01.com\/c\/443\/be1cd535afec049bc2fbb998fea0e2fa9f39ac80bd228e8ca3a380962ac20e9f\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sacr\u00e9 Tympan<\/a> for its breathtaking 2015 season, and for\u00a0<em>Parlures et parjures<\/em>, an evolving production interweaving narrative, contemporary music, folk music, jazz and rock.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/suivi.lnk01.com\/c\/443\/be1cd535afec049bc2fbb998fea0e2fa44155381ecf72c0a9012a002ca135532\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">LA SERRE \u2013 arts vivants<\/a> for an unprecedented year of international promotion and for its role as a creative catalyst for young, avant-garde performing artists, encouraging dialogue among artists from all disciplines.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Unveiling of the winner on March 24, 2016<\/strong><br \/>\nThe winner will be announced on<strong> March 24, 2016<\/strong> at the annual luncheon held at the Palais des congr\u00e8s de Montr\u00e9al. Each finalist will receive a\u00a0<strong>$5,000<\/strong> cash prize generously offered by Montreal patrons-of-the-arts, while the winning organization will receive the sum of\u00a0<strong>$30,000<\/strong>, along with an artwork commissioned from a Montreal artist. Past winners that have contributed to the city\u2019s creative and innovative culture include the Festival du nouveau cin\u00e9ma, Cirque du Soleil and Compagnie Marie Chouinard.
