Les 7 doigts de la main will open the 2013-2014 season at Montreal\u2019s Th\u00e9\u00e2tre du Nouveau Monde with a new multi-disciplinary creation premiering September 17, 2013.<\/p>\n

An original play written by 7 Doigts co-founder S\u00e9bastien Soldevila, joined by fellow Finger Shana Carroll for the co-direction and choreography,\u00a0Le Murmure du Coquelicot<\/em> bands together 2 actors and 6 circus performers.<\/p>\n

R\u00e9my Girard\u00a0(Les Invasions Barbares\u2026)<\/em> and Pascale Montpetit join forces with 7 Doigts cofounder Samuel T\u00e9treault (_Loft_,\u00a0La Vie<\/em>,\u00a0Fibonacci Project<\/em>), and other 7 Doigts alumni Raphael Cruz (original cast of\u00a0Traces<\/em>), Danica Gagnon-Plamondon\u00a0(Psy, AMuse)<\/em>, \u00c9milie Bonnavaud\u00a0(Loft, La Vie, FeriaAmuse)<\/em>, and new arrivals Suzanne Soler and Matias Plaul.<\/p>\n

\u00ab\u00a0Le Murmure du Coquelicot<\/em> is a logical continuation of our work. The integration of theatre has always been present in our shows, but now, this is a real marriage of the art forms. From the first line, circus and theatre both play a role in the writing of the show. Together, they express something each one cannot offer alone,\u201d explains S\u00e9bastien Soldevila.<\/strong><\/p>\n

CO\u00a0PRODUCTION, A\u00a0MAJOR\u00a0ADVANTAGE\u00a0AND\u00a0AN\u00a0ESSENTIAL\u00a0ASSET<\/span><\/p>\n

Le Murmure du Coquelicot<\/em>, the collective\u2019s ninth creation, will welcome audiences after 16 weeks of rehearsals in Montreal.<\/p>\n

This creation also marks bonds between artists and producers, between Quebec and France, without which the production would not be possible. The\u00a0TOHU\u00a0(Montreal), Les Nuits de Fourvi\u00e8re (Lyon), l\u2019Espace Jean Legendre (Compi\u00e8gne) and le Grand Th\u00e9\u00e2tre de Provence (Aix-en-Provence) have all joined forces to support this project.<\/p>\n

The show will be presented from September 17 to October 12 at the\u00a0TNM, and then will make its way across Quebec with\u00a0Sorties du TNM<\/em>. Beginning June 2014, the show will be presented in France.<\/p>\n
