I just saw Réversible at arte and I am deeply impressed. I dot not often watch circus or artistic acts, though I am usually impressed by the physical performances and as a musician and dancer I am interested in several kinds of shows.
Modern circus and show acts which combine physical performances of any kind including artistic and dance with real emotions, with music that does not only fill the silence but is an essential element, … – suchlike show impress me way more, touch me, probably enthrall me. And so did Réversible, especially all parts with strong emotions like a little love story during incredible artistic performance at the pole or the hula hoop gymnastics and dance with a story of desire in her face and many more. Thank you for that!

My 11yo daughter and I saws Reversible while in Paris in April 2017 — looking for something to do and thought a circus would be fun. About three minutes in, she turned to me and said “This is the greatest thing I’ve ever seen.” We were mesmerized by it — had been to Cirque du Soleil many times but it was so completely different. We couldn’t stop talking about it. The hoops act was magical — the springboard trampoline (?) was crazy cool — the red juggling balls looked like they were dancing — the climb up the pole was insane. I think one guy had someone on his head and another on his arm? I loved that you didn’t quite know where to look during parts of it — we were afraid to miss what was happening in one part of the stage if we focused too intently on another. The next May we had airline vouchers we needed to use and saw Reversible was playing in Guadalajara for the Festival de Mayo — so we went for a weekend and saw it again. Again, an amazing experience and it was funny to see how the show had changed a bit.

Now we’ve evangelized the show so much we’ve persuaded a big group of family and friends to come to Berkeley to see it in Spring 2019. We’ve also started to seek out other contemporary circus acts that come through the area , and to research visiting Montreal for Completement Cirque — so thank you for introducing us to something we didn’t know anything about!
