After its tremendous success aboard the Virgin Voyages fleet, Duel Reality, created by Shana Carroll, makes its land debut with a reimagined version.
This new version is touring around the world since August 2023. In addition to composing new original soundtracks and lengthening the show, we’ve reduced the number of roles from 12 to 11.
ROLES
ROMEO AND JULIET
Primary skill: hand-to-hand duo.
Porter should porte banquine. Basic trapeze and/or the capacity to learn.
REFEREE
Primary skill: diabolo.
Secondary skill: some pole and basic floor acrobatics.
PLANCHE ARTIST 1/TYBALT
Primary skill: Korean plank.
Secondary skills: strong floor and partner acrobatics. Hoop-diving a plus.
PLANCHE ARTIST 2/MERCUTIO
Primary skill: Korean plank.
Secondary skills: strong floor and partner acrobatics. Hoop-diving a plus.
POLE ARTIST 1
Primary skill: Chinese pole.
Secondary skill: floor and partner acrobatics.
Hoop-diving and porting skills are a plus.
POLE ARTIST 2
Primary skill: Chinese pole.
Secondary skill: aerial; basic banquine, hand-to-hand flying. Will
cover Juliet.
JUGGLER 1
Primary skill: juggling (preferably balls).
Secondary skills: floor and partner acrobatics; flying experience is a plus.
JUGGLER 2
Primary skill: juggling (preferably balls, open to clubs, cigar boxes, rings,
etc).
Secondary skill: banquine porter.
HULA HOOP ARTIST
Primary skill: hula hoop.
Secondary skill: aerial.
Generalist Porter
Primary skill: Banquine, Hand to Hand & Towers.
Secondary skill: floor acrobatics
Could be replacing Romeo if needed
