The 7 Fingers Foundation is inviting professional artists and creators in circus arts to apply for residencies intended for embryonic or early-stage development projects.
Whether you are a collective or an individual artist, this residency offers you a week (5 days) of work in the Orangerie studio, located at the 7 Fingers’ creation center. You will also benefit from 3 hours of mentorship with an artistic director of the company.

Objectives of the Residency
- Encourage research, reflection, and exploration in embryonic or early-stage creation projects.
- Provide a workspace and artistic guidance to develop the initial stages of your project.
- Support artistic creation and innovation in circus arts.
- Foster the emergence of new works.
What is Included
- Studio Orangerie: Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Mentorship: 3 hours with an artistic director
When
Two residency periods are available. Participants must choose the date that suits them and specify it in the application form.

Orangerie Studio on the 6th floor. The Orangerie is a bright space offering a panoramic view of downtown Montreal.

Project Evaluation Framework
Projects will be evaluated by a selection committee composed of two members of the artistic direction, a board member, and the director of the 7 Fingers Foundation.
The criteria evaluated are:
- Relevance and quality of the artistic approach
- Innovation
- Impact on the development of the project/artist or collective
Please note that liability insurance will be required.
